CONCEPT
Darkly lit by refracted streetlight and candles set in slatted boxes, the Mercer Kitchen is shadowy, and mysteriously beautiful. Exposed brick walls, wenge-wood furnishings, communal dining tables and a spacious open kitchen furnish this sultry catacomb of gastronomic delights.
The Mediterranean-minded cuisine features inventions such as Crunchy Squid with Chili-Lime Mayonnaise and Grilled Barramundi with French Lentils, Asparagus, Crisp Pancetta and Lemon Crème Fraiche.
At Market, in Paris, the clean interior lines of architect Christian Liagre are punctuated by dark grey wood, natural stone, subtle lighting, and priceless primitive art pieces on loan from Christie's.
